New Appointments to Our Scientific Advisory Board: Welcoming Professor Khaled Machaca and Dr. George Tsoukas

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished experts to our Scientific Advisory Board: Professor Khaled Machaca, PhD, and Dr. George M. Tsoukas, MD, FRCPC.

Khaled Machaca, PhD is a professor at Weill Cornell Medicine and serves as well as the Senior Associate Dean for Research, Innovation and Commercialization at the Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar campus.

He is a renowned scientist in cellular physiology and translational research. In his leadership role, Professor Machaca oversees the institutional research strategy and manages a research enterprise comprising over 200 scientists. His laboratory focuses on calcium signaling, non-genomic hormone pathways, and personalized medicine for genetic disorders—areas that closely align with our scientific priorities.

George M. Tsoukas, MD, FRCPC is a distinguished clinician-scientist and professor at McGill University and the affiliated McGill University Health Centre.

A seasoned expert in endocrinology and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Tsoukas has authored numerous scientific papers, particularly on the treatment of Paget’s disease of bone.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the American Heart Association.

We are honored to welcome both Professor Machaca and Dr. Tsoukas to our Scientific Advisory Board and look forward to their valuable contributions as we continue to advance our mission.
